I made this card for a dear friend whose thirtieth birthday is quickly approaching.
I sat at my desk for many minutes, searching through old magazines and my scrapbooks for inspiration until I came across this scrapbook paper, and…zoom! It came to me!

It’s been quiet around here. Made some Mother’s Day cards (but totally forgot a card for my own mum, what with my preparations for a luncheon for 6) but didn’t get around to posting any. I’m very proud of my most recent creation. I love the mishmash of colour and texture!

April 9, 2007I got my very first shout-out this weekend while I was vacationing in Seattle.
Like lots of people, I flitted from one hair stylist to another for many years, never quite finding the Perfect One. I can now confidently and sincerely say I’ve found the best in Vancouver: Shai of Pome Studio on Seymour Street. Unfortunately, I can’t visit her as often as I’d like because my cut always grows out fabulously!

I love this owl. I’ve used this ink-drawn doodle for many a card, changing the message in the flag. Embellished just a bit with hole-punched dots on mustard coloured Artoz cardstock.
